Staying home every day

Hi everybody. Depression became my best friend long time ago. I was trying to help myself, but without much effect, so i decided to stay at home and have no social contacts. First of all, i found online food-market with delivery, bought iptv box on SwitchOnShop, optimized online pay systems for public utilities payments. Now i feel myself maximally comfortable, just laying and watching tv, doing nothing, but i know sometime i have to leave my room and talk to people again :(

That's okay if you don't feel like leaving the house yet. It takes time and patience. My tip is to maybe start off small. You don't really have to talk to people when going out, you can just go and take even a small walk, just to get yourself out there. I want to isolate myself too sometimes, just like you're doing. But for the sake of not getting worse with my mental health, I some time take a brief walk around. Some other times when you feel comfortable about it you can go and order coffee/te/whatever is your fav drink somewhere, just to get some interaction going. You can do it, I believe in you :)

@anintroverted , Your suggestions are really good. Going for walks can be really soothing and relaxing and sitting in a nice cozy shop, sipping some hot tea, watching people walking by , sounds good too.

@Luxalterna , it's nice to have and enjoy your own space. It takes great awareness and understanding to be at peace with oneself and enjoy the silence especially if one has gone through a challenging or tiring space. I too enjoy my space from time to time. When you feel like stepping out , enjoy the fresh air and the little things you like.. maybe like the smell of fresh baked bread or flowers in the park.
