Stress from work and school

I’ve just started at my new job recently, my first time working. And I also started around the end of the semester and final exams are in a few days. I’ve never felt this bad mentally and physically from stress since the day I moved out. My shift starts at 7am and I have to study, so I barely have time to sleep, I’d say 4-5 hours is the maximum amount of sleep I get a day, usually it’s a little more than 3 hours. I’ve been skipping meals for weeks, I either eat one meal a day or not eat at all, or eating junk food or snacks like bread or chocolate to ease the hunger. I’ve been so stressed with everything, I almost passed out at work today too. I hate this feeling.

Hi@fishcake16. Congratulations on starting a new job. It is exciting to start something new but perhaps you are worried you would not have time to complete your revisions hence disrupt your results? It is unfair to cut down on your sleep regularly as your body needs to rest and refresh both for your new job and for your studies. Your body also needs proper nutrients and energy otherwise it will not coporate fully with you. It is just like a car which is not given enough fuel and not sent for service regularly. How is the car going to run smoothly ? Don't you think it will breakdown or slow down , just like your body.? Perhaps you could draw a schedule to manage your time, activities , the amount of food / type of meal you eat and your expanses. Hope Having a black and white schedule/plan might be helpful to you . Best wishes for your exams.
