That blocking feeling...

Hello everyone!

I have never been diagnosed with anxiety, though it took me long-long years until I found out that I have it.

Many things cause me anxiety, like making a phone call or paying at a cashier's...

Also, I guess I have social anxiety too. As a teen, I was bullied for years by the 'cool kids' I wanted to accept me, and even though I had friends after these incidents, I kept neglecting them to a point that I don't talk to any of them anymore. Not because we had conflicts or so, I just didn't have the feeling of keeping in touch... Now, I live in a different city, studying at a different university, and I can't make any friends. Two people have so far tried to approach me, but I just did not carry it on. Both occasions were just small talks of me being asked a question and me answering them, but I just couldn't take any steps further... I should've introduced myself to them and it would've been fine, but I had something like a blocking inside me, something pulling the alarm or a huge NO flowing inside me... Yes, I have wasted two potentials to make friends...

How can I get rid of this blocking feeling and become successful in social life?
