When you feel alone.

I know there are family members and friends who care about me and want to know how I'm feeling. Sometimes it's hard for me to reach out when they say they're just a phone call away. They have children, significant others, full-time jobs, school, etc., and I simply don't know how to communicate how I feel emotionally. I kind of feel numb.

My gym coach called me to check in on my workout goals and she told me to open up to her too if I have any problems. I told her it was difficult for me to do that and that I would try...

The thought of being such a downer or expressing self-pity prevents me from doing so, and now I feel alone.

Maybe I'll phone a friend right now and see what happens.

Phoning a friend sounds like a great idea! You'll have someone to talk to and connect with. I am here if you'd ever like to talk. Personally, I don't have much support in my life, so I know how it feels to be alone during dark times and times of panic. It can be hard and a depressing time for some people. I hope phoning your friend goes well! :)

I know how you feel. I have a close group of friends but very few and they're all busy. I don't like bothering them with my problems but I have found a friend at work, although I don't see them often. Phoning your friend sounds like a good idea and I hope it will all work out!

@independentPine3212 I know what you mean, it can be the most frustrating and confusing feeling to be surrounded by people who say they're there for you and not be able to completely believe them/ still feel alone. I hope you begin to feel a little better. <3
