Why do I get so depressed over little things?
Why do I get so depressed over little things that won't bother anybody else? It might sound stupid but it really matters to me, I'm 17 and suffering from social anxiety and depression it's like I feel sad and guilty all the Time and nobody is there to support me even my own family they are like just snap out of it they don't understand and I have no friends ever since I was young I just can't make friends I'm extremely shy and can't even talk with strangers, I even have trouble going to school my family won't understand the pain I go through and I live in a place thats very bad with psychological therapists (if any is available) there are many other things to say but I don't wanna make this much longer

I think is because depression make us feel so overwhelmed, you know? So any little thing will make us go "damnit!! why THAT too?!" .
Basically small things add to big things (like your parents not being supportive for example).
Also you shouldn't feel guilty. Depression is very hard to deal with, just keep remembering you're not alone. Many people from all ages have it. It might seem that you're super alone (depression does that to you) but trust me that you're not.
And let's be real being a teenanger is not easy. I'm 23 but I know how hard it can be. You're stressed with school, your future, to fit in society, is a road to self discovery so depression added to it really doesn't make it any easier.
Anyways, everytime you want to vent 7cups will welcome you with open arms.
You're always free to vent and seek help here :)
Also, sending you a huge hug!

Hello, social anxiety is very misunderstood, one cannot become someone elses wishes. We all have our jigsaw puzzle, and slowly we can turn the pieces over and discover ourselves bit by bit.
I am so sorry that your having a hard time and that your finding it hard to bond with others.
