Working hard, then giving up, then working hard, then giving up, then...
I don't even know where to start.
I guess this past week, it's been our mother. She's always had anger management issues, and it really hurts growing up and trying to be the best daughter you could be but just...never getting anywhere. I'm more than 20 years old already and here I am, dealing with how she messed me up.
I guess I could say I learned to be an anxious person because I have to anticipate what could go wrong, so I would know how to counter what I am sure was coming.
@summersiren
Sorry that you and I are going through this with our parents. What I am doing to fix my issues is work with an awesome therapist and we are doing CBT, DBT, Biofeedback and EMDR. I also attend support groups. Have you checked out the pleasant activities list on the web which might bring some fun in your life?
