anxious about doing anything in fear of displeasing
I work in a technical industry wherein a lot is at stake, and people do not let go mistakes that easy. And I am constantly faced with decisions and problems. Being far younger and being only around 2 years on the job, I feel that my subordinates question my decisions despite that I have a different technical background and not on the same level. Due to their constant nagging, I often feel to second guess myself and think about every move that is now worsening my anxiety. Sometimes I feel that they are talking behind my back, and mocking me. Again, further making me anxious. What can I do? Thank you
Hi @barkingdogs
I'm very sorry to hear that you're feeling anixous at work due to your coworkers. It's not something I have experience with though I'm sending you warm hugs. I was wondering if this is something you've been dealing with on your own or if you ave shared your feelings about your coworkers possibly talking behind your back with someone. Form my experience dealing with anything unpleasent that involves your surroundings is not good to keep to your self. You shouldn't feel afraid of doing something wrong on work on a daily basis and I hope that your boss or someone else can relieve some of this stress that you're having about your continuing anxiety.
