feeling so used by providing care for older woman
I am providing care for older woman, her family, I feel are not available to come and give us much support, at 1:30 pm, no one has arrived to show us routine stuff, I feel like the woman s daughter only complain how mother has tied them down and don't really relay to me anything that has to do with her care, I am getting angry and my husband isn't very supportive, I am bearing all this ,and the woman us not even in my family, I will definitely be treating my parents better. I guess this is what I take away from this situation, they have dropped their mother off and the rest is I guess I will treat her like she deserves, but only do what I can, I refuse to let this Gove me more anxiety and depression!
@jr50 It is really sad and unfortunate that some elders in our community are pushed off on others and seen ans burdens by family.
That is really awesome that you have taken this on and care enough to want to have information to take care of her the best way you can. It is great that she has you.
Something you could try is having a talk with them to have an arragement where they make time to let you know the things you need to know, whether it is when they see you, through text, or making a chart they can fill out.
