joining debate
i have ocd, social anxiety, and generalized anxiety disorder. i joined my college debate team because i am weirdly confident in my public speaking abilities and i like debate. everyone there has debated in high school except for me, and I am not that good at it. on my own, i can come up with arguments adn talk well. but when i have to do a rebuttal or anything i fail... they all judge me and treat me like a baby. they are unfriendly. its obvious they htink im dumb. ive never actually said anytnig because the two times i tried to debate in practice i just couldn't. i didn'tknow where to start. i feel like such a failure. i don't really have any real friends at college. school is all i have. and now im failing this too.

Hey there, I am sorry to hear what you are going through right now. I understand how it feels when one has no friends. I have gone through these moments too, but please don't doubt your ability to debate and make friends. During the past years, when I couldn't make friends, I also doubted myself. Was this my problem that no one liked me and wanted to make friends with me? Then, I realized that it was probably that I didn't meet the right ones. I finally met a group of people who accepted me. Therefore, time is always the best solution. Love and believing in yourself could be the best cure. Hope this helps you.
