overthinking
I overthink everyone. whether I sounded annoying in a text or all of my friends hate me or I shouldn't have said that, or any kind of "what if's". it's constant and sometimes comes out of nowhere, but when it does, it really affects me mentally and shuts down everything else. Like my motivation, productivity, energy (not wanting to get up and eat or do work or workout) , all of that, because my mind keeps on getting stuck on the negative thoughts of: oh I'm a failure why should I try or I'm not good enough and people probably hate me. my mind is stuck on a loop and I don't know how to fix it. it's draining and I end up just sleeping so much, even when I have stuff to do, because I get super anxious and mentally my mood drops a lot and I just have so much negative thoughts about myself and how people see me. I don't know how to stop the process and loop I'm stuck in
@smolstrawberries I relate to this a lot because I also overthink everything. And I think a lot of us tend to think about how others view us which is not completely bad. By caring what others feel and think, you can also be considerate. However there does come a point when overanalyzing people and situations is not helpful or when you start viewing yourself as a failure and it gets draining. While it's easier said than done, what I try to remember is that I want to live for myself and not other's expectations at the end of my life. It's so tiring to care about how others view me or to consider myself a failure so I try and give myself some slack. And I hope you can do the same and if not, then I do think it's at least good to talk or write about it:)
hey!
@smolstrawberries Im sorry youre going through this and i can also relate as i overthinked a lot, to a point where id keep sleeping just to hide from the thoughts. I felt like talking about thoughts that bothered me helped let them free from my brain, like a storm swirling inside your mind and finally you give it a door to escape! If talking is hard then writing about them is also great. Try to analyze your thoughts and challenge them, if you have a thought that says "ohh ur a loser cuz they left you on seen and hate you", then be like "whys that?, they could be busy, could have family issues and who decides what a loser is and that im one of them?" This rational argument with ones self helps put things into perspective and i hope it starts clearing up your mind soon, have a great day, i hope this was helpful. :)
@smolstrawberries,
If I was in your exact situation, what would you tell me?
