scared of change
I guess one thing that I like about my life is that there are always constants. Everyday I wake up to the alarm, turn it off, sleep for another 15 minutes and then actually get up. I go to school Monday to Friday. I sit in every class waiting for the bell to signal that it's time to leave. I like stability and I REALLY do not like change. I think change in my life has been defined by a series of bad things. In my mind, the word always had a negative connotation. I was scared of someone leaving my life, I was scared of having to move to another town. I was afraid that I couldn't adapt. So I think this is where most of my anxiety springs from. Change.
Does anyone feel the same? Any thoughts you'd like to share? Put them down below! :)

Hello.
I can say we're alike, at least as far as this topic at hand goes.
I like routines as well, they're stable, secure and you have a sense of control and having a handle on things. Some people say being stuck in routines is boring (and they're right) but sometimes you just need that sense of consistency. Change has a bad connotation for me as well.
But then again, as mentioned above routines can get boring if practiced for way too long. You need to shake things up a bit but in my case, I'd shake it up but not to the point where everything is different. A controlled shake, if you will. Rather than an earthquake kind of shake.
The things you mentioned, moving to a new town and all. That is change, but big-ish ones. We go through small changes without noticing. Like from school ---> college. Thats major. But like from elementary to middle to high school, not really; yknow? Or how you grow taller or your face changes over the years. Small changes that we just kind of roll with.
Routines can also be bad if you're stuck in bad habits and such (as I am now. :/ haha) so a routine in this sense is bad and to change for the better (which is a good thing) feels uncomfortable.
