sorry if here is the wrong place to post this,

i often feel like i dont belong in my circle of friends. mostly we, i against all of them, got into an agument regarding religion and stuff. being the sorta-non-believer that i am i often stay put in the discussion knowing that if i sound my opinion theyd corner me. shouldnt we be entitled to our own opinion anyway..? most of the time id feel like im attacked since no one really shares the same thought as i did. so yeah, im not sure if i want new friends at all or the problem is actually just me.

I think I understand this feeling.

You deserve to be with people you feel support and appreciate you being the best you.

(I word it that way just because some like-mindedness can be like-minded about bad things, like prejudices. Athiest/agnostic beliefs are not bad things though)

There is no shame in outgrowing old friends. I'm currently coping with feelings like this, where I want to distance myself from some people because they make me feel like I'm back in school and it gets in the way of my adulting progress.

Making new friends can be terrifying though. I do suggest trying online venues to find people you vibe with more. I've heard meetup.com is good for finding pre-existing groups.

I hope that helps!
