work stress
I am an architect. I work as a site engineer under the control of two consultants, one of them is a professor of civil engineering and the other is a professor of architecture. I can get along very well with the professor of architecture, but the professor of civil engineering can't understand me and he just wants to feel as the boss who controls everything so he doesm't want me to deal in a formal way with the contractor who implement the project, this nonprofessional professor wants me to say ny notices to him even architectural notices and he didn't do anything. When I tried to use formal way to deal with the contractor this terrible professor give the contractor his support against me so I can't do my work and the professor of architecture can't help me. What have I do?
@DinaElwy I'm sorry that you're dealing with this. That must be incredibly frustrating.
I'm not familiar with the hierarchy within these projects so I'm not sure if my advice would help. But I was wondering if you can go to the professor that you do get a long with? Maybe with both that professor and yourself teaming up, you can convince the other professor to listen to your ideas and you can gain some control over the project again.

@DinaElwy Even if that professor wasn't able to get involved between the disagreement you are having with the other professor, could they at least give you advice on how to gently handle the situation? Ask them what they would do if they were in your situation. Hopefully they will have some expereince in a similar situation and have some advice they could share with you.
