your BEST weapons for fighting anxiety?
Hi everybody!! I was kind of curious and wanted to know some of the ways you all deal with anxiety, however it affects you. Maybe we can all learn some new healthy habits and coping mechanisms from each other? (I'd love to learn more!!)
For me, mindfulness and breathing exercises really help me stay grounded, especially during anxiety attacks. What about everybody else?

I remind myself that "this too shall pass" and this moment does not define who I am
I like to do alternate nostril breathing as well as tapping. I'll include a video! I also try to notice things in the room and how they feel. When I get anxious it's like I'm stuck inside myself listening to my heart beating faster. So I notice the brightness or the light, or the breeze from a fan, or a bright color. I think noticing things really calms me down. Also thinking of things I'm thankful for. Especially small things. Going around the room and being thankful to have a chair to sit in, thankful to have a full tube or toothpaste. etc. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GPev41ggmB4 This is tapping, i don't know about this guy really. But the premis is you tap in specific places, breath slowly in and out, and say your feelings in your head. For instance "Sometimes I feel anxious, (you can even get intense like "and I hate it! and I wish I didn't") (Breathe out) But it's going to be okay. And I love myself anyway". You can do a few rounds and after each round notice how you're feeling.
