Anxiety and my relationship
Hey everybody ☺️ I hope things are going well for everyone.
I am new to this thread so I wanted to share a bit about myself.
I am 26 years old and have been struggling with anxiety for over 15 years which is when I had my first anxiety attack. Today, I am more adjusted. My life is a bit more on track as a whole but I still struggle with anxiety daily. I have learned ways to cope with the issue.
Today I am having trouble finding peace with my boyfriend gone. I know he'll be back of course. But why is letting him leave to go run errands with his child and his child's mother so hard? They have co-parented their child well the last few months. I'm not worried he's cheating. But I still struggle so hard with loneliness. I've kept up with the house work and even detailed my car. I ran errands myself. I have plenty of hobbies but I don't want to do any of them because I just want him to come back. I hate this feeling and want to know if any of you struggle with loneliness and what helps.
Thank you and One Love ❤️

It looks like you already have skills that cope with your anxiety with 15 years of experience. For loneliness, this is a different story. It seems you filled your time with tons of activities and distractions. But the missing feelings will eventually come back to you. Stay alone needs practice, you may not feel comfortable in the beginning, but you will get used to it. Sometimes, the relationship with trust will still have some insecure feeling if you are in an unfamiliar situation. Communicate with your partner to adjust the amount of stay-alone time. Let him help you slowly adapt to the situations that may be away.
