Anxiety vs patience

I have anxiety and I am a very impatient person. I get even more anxiety when I have wait or have time to think over things. The more time I have, the more patient I have to be , the more I think, the worst the thoughts in my head are. I need to keep busy, any ideas?

This happens to me too and sometimes I just end up angry and tensed up like a bomb waiting to explode. So, one trick I try is to breathe in an out through my nose very very slowly and try to relax my muscles from the top of my head to my toes. Usually I get no further than my jaw as I hold a lot of tension in my jaw.

The good thing is that doing this technique makes the time pass more quickly and I am focusing on something else.

I share your case as I can be very impatient when it comes to anxiety and I just end up getting angry at everybody else and blaming everyone else because they are causing my anxiety(I know it's weird). What I do is distract myself with a sound or a pleasant sight. LIke if I am in a bus, I would concentrate on the noise that makes the bus, instead of actually concentrating at the sounds that the people that cause my anxiety in question are making.

Hope this helps,

Best wishes,

Prio.

Reading. Reading always helped me. It kind of distracts you from what you're waiting on. Also, focusing on your breathing helps.
