Anyone else can relate?

I always need to have my headphones with me whenever I go outside by myself. Having music blasting or not, it eases my social anxiety a bit. When I have my current favorite music on, I even forget being anxious about how I walk and what people might think about my appearance and actions, etc. It does make me ponder sometimes though, is there something wrong with me? If there is, how do I get better? P.s. I also would like some recommendations of either app or site where I could connect with strangers (potential friends) from a far place as I don't want to have any prior connection. I'm afraid my current friends might think badly of me with wanting other people to chat with. P.p.s. I'm quite uncomfortable with sites like Omegle as there are some users who does weird things.

@n0cturne

I have a similar habit in which I'll constantly look at my phone whenever there are strangers around me. One way I've started practicing on my communication and anxiety is to not use my phone when others are around, fighting the instinct to pull it out from my pocket. If I feel especially a bit more confident I'll greet strangers like giving them a nod or saying hello/good morning to them.
