Confused and scared
[This thread is kinda long but not too bad] Hi, friends, I'm confused about my situation and I wanna hear your advice on something. I have depression and severe anxiety (my anxiety is so bad I feel afraid to go inside the store alone because of all of the people)Anyway, my boyfriend and I have broken up, I lost my job and I have been very depressed for the last couple months following. I would cry myself to sleep and never get out of bed. My house got dirty because no one else would clean it either, my mom was in charge of that but she is depressed herself, and lacks the motivation so I have to clean up after everyone and my parents tell me that's how I earn my keep since I dont pay rent right now. We live in public housings, where the rule is if you live with your parents and you are over 18 (I'm 20) you need to either go to college or work and I have been working this whole time until now. I really want to go to college but cant afford it. I have some money saved up but not enough. I also want to move out from my parents because they are over- controlling and dont respect who I am as a person. They love me and are kind to me most the time but then they dont respect how I feel about things and tell me if I leave I'll do badly out there because of my anxiety. I just wanna do something on my own for once. I wanna leave to prove that I can do these things on my own and that even though I'm afraid sometimes I can be on my own. The only hang up is my dog isnt certified so if i leave I'm just afraid i wouldn't be able to take her. Shes really young and she still follows me everywhere. She's been so close to me and she was the last thing I hot out of the breakup. I'm the only owner shes ever known, and I love her so much I dont wanna give her away. but so many places dont allow dogs even with a note from therapist and my parents can't take her cause they already have 2 dogs and my dog isnt technically allowed to be here because I dont have a note for her yet. But she is my spport dog. Shes helped me so much through my depression. Please help.

You have a lot on your plate right now. I can understand how this would be difficult and I can imagine what you must be going through. I can tell how much care by all the thought you are putting into figuring these things out. Your strength is very apparent.
You mention that your dog is not currently certified, is getting them certified a possibility? If they were certified, would your dog be able to stay with your folks or someone else temporarily, as you look for somewhere that would allow your therapy dog?
I would wonder as well if you have considered seeing if you qualify for any type of student scholarship programs and/or loans? Depending on different situations, there are different programs available that you may qualify for?
Are you open to working with a School Counselor or someone of that nature? Or like an Admissions Counselor or a College Professor? They might be able to provide additional information on available opportunities, assistance, and options that might be available for you, or point you to someone that could?
I understand this is a lot to deal with and can feel heavy. It might help to try and break it all apart and focus on one topic/situation at a time?
I believe in you, you got this!
