Do you have any tips for dating when you have social anxiety? My anxiety is usually in my stomach and when I have panic attacks I sometimes throw up so it's hard to go out with someone when I feel like I'm going to be sick.

My boyfriend has just about the worst anxiety I've ever seen in my life. He's gotten alot better around me sense we've been together 2 years now but in the beginning he was quiet. He never looked me in the eye and he was always shaking but he always told me or let me know if there was something wrong or bothering him so I could help. Just let whoever you're dating know that you have really bad anxiety and if they're not willing to help then they're just not for you. Alot of the times people don't know how to help just give them tips on what you like and what you do to calm yourself down. Don't be afraid to let them now if somethings not right. Or if you feel sick.

@hereforu74 My problem is I have too much anxiety to speak to girls to get into a relationship :)

I wish I was as confident as some other guys because I know I look better than some of them yet I am not as successful as them in getting into relationships. I often freeze up or end up being to conservative or boring instead of bubbly and interesting.

I am trying to get over it by trying speed-dating, but I go into meltdown usually and end up talking about boring subjects. lol

Find a guy that will expect you for who you are and he will be willing to take care of you and go with you to your appointments and be understanding

Hi HumorousSugar1090. As a guy, I can tell you that my experience with social anxiety is a little different than yours since guys are expected to make the first move. I think what you need to do is be yourself and put yourself out there. Make sure you wear something appealing. Not necessarily in a revealing kind of way, but in a way that gets guys' attention. And if a guy comes up to you and wants to start a conversation, just go with it. Don't stress about your social anxiety, simply focus your energy on him. Girls always talk about how they like a guy with confidence and with guys, it's the same thing. We also like girls who are confident. So just be yourself and don't think about your social anxiety. If you don't treat it like a problem then neither will be. If you need someone to talk to, you can always message me.
