My dad was an alcoholic. Is an alcoholic. And my mom was always my savior, but she stayed with him. He didn't hit me. He just called me stupid and useless for 20 years until I finally believed him. I can't hold a job, I continuously climb further into debt, I make excuses constantly for why I give up all the time, I have no passion anymore. I'm super hard on myself and every little mistake I make warrants a panic attack. Constructive criticism sends me spiraling because I genuinely believe I let them down and I can't handle letting anyone down because my self worth relies on it. After knowing about my issues for so long, I guess I just thought by 27 I'd have figured it out.

I can relate, you don't happen to have BPD, do you? Because I do. You are worth more than your mind (and he) likes to make you believe. You are not a failure, you are learning and growing.
