Fear of the future
I'm scared that my life will just be nothing. You get a job and work for someone to pay for something for the rest of your life. You want to live a unique life but the only way is with money. By trying to be unique you become normal. Everyone lives the same way and it scares me, I don't want my life to accumulate to getting a job... I don't know how to subdue this fear...
My solution to that is through career choice. I choose to study science and technology and plan to either go into research or attempt to start a tech start-up. My view is that I will certainly get enough money to get by, if not more than enough if I work for it. I am very much scared of the future myself, but dreaming of what could be, and noticing that most of it will not help in knowing that as long as I work towards something I am passionate about in the moment, I will end up somewhere I want to be, even if it is somewhere completely different. But it also helps in grounding myself to think of the moment, and how the future is only a result of the moment, and that moment can lead to an infinite number of futures, even though we may fixate on only one.

Hi @Wellhereiam, Thanks you for sharing. I'm glad you realise the importance of living a meaninghful life. We have one life and there are many different ways that it can be lived. You only have to look at different cultures to appreciate this. And I'm wondering that if by focussing on the present and making each moment count, the way that you would want it you, whether the future will take care of its self.
I know that some people live to make money, but I also know that some people live to make a difference. I know which one I would rather do.
