Hi this week I had to make appointments for next month and I dread making calls I have bad panic and anxiety attacks not sure if any of you guys have that but it really makes life hard. since now I'm an adult I've had to start doing things alone and that's super scary for me I feel I've lost alot of comfort and my mind is all tangled of scary messy possibilities driving on my own is so scary which is what I'm going to have to do alot coming up and I feel so bad feeling like this cause everyone is telling me this is how it is and I need to grow up I shouldn't be having anxiety at making phone calls "that's life" and I just feel silly and scared because I just dont know how to do all this when I feel like I should. this week I've been in a total panick and I cant manage to do the things like calls and plans i need to do bc I'm not sure if it's going to go good or bad so I've been in bed w my thoughts just scared because of all this adulting coming at me I dont think I'm ready even though everybody else seems to be I just dont know how or what to think just anxious and scared these past days.

@Juderoad

I am really sorry that you are feeling scared and confused. Unfortunate at it is, these feelings are something we will have to experience at one point in our lives. I can't really give you advice on the office part but I do believe you can find the appropriate resources to help with your anxiety:

https://adaa.org/understanding-anxiety/generalized-anxiety-disorder-gad/resources (For Generalized Anxiety Disorder).

https://www.cci.health.wa.gov.au/Resources/Looking-After-Yourself/Social-Anxiety (Social Anxiety workbook, free).

Please don't feel silly about it. You have to start validating yourself and finding reasons that show why you're strong.

Sending you more strength :)

@Juderoad I'm sorry to hear you feel that way, it's obvious you care about doing a good job with your new responsibilities and that is commendable. This can be hard with anxiety but try not to be too hard on yourself, that is something that I struggle with too and it is ok for things to be hard, and the fact that you're here is an important step forward. The resources YourDigitalFriend shared look good, all the usual recommended stuff helps me when I feel anxious like exercise, talking to a friend (or posting on here), meditating, and therapy. Best of luck with the new responsibilities, there are people on this website here for you
