Is there any web developer around here just starting out?
Hi! First, a brief introduction. My name is Daniel (23, Romania). I have crippling social anxiety that made me shrink more and more from responsibilities. I don't have any friends. Never had a job or a serious romantic relationship. I'm out of shape, and my diet is poor ( probably ). I've made a plan to straighten myself out, and I thought of getting a part-time job so I can work fewer hours, but that has proved ever so strenuous to try, so I just confined myself to apply for a driving school to get my license, which is going quite awful given my condition.
The only thing that I had going for me was web development. I regressed so much, being out of practice...I missed so many projects, opportunities, and collaborations. I intend to pick it up again, but I've been postponing it for quite a long time that now I find myself apprehending it with anxiety.
So I'm looking for a sparring buddy, so to speak, who is just starting in web development, facing similar difficulties, or relapsing and finding it difficult to get back on track, procrastination, so on. I have two great courses on udemy. We can collaborate, go through them together, or on our own and keep each other accountable, putting together some projects, etc. If anyone is interested let me know.
I'm not a web developer but studying to get a job. I have dealt with social anxiety and procrastination. But now I have overcome my social anxiety a little bit. I have a few close friends but no relationships. Recovering from depression and low self-esteem and now trying to get my life on track. My diet is good but need to go back to exercise as I'm out of shape too. I'm just trying my best to be better than my past self.
Hey Daniel, thanks for being so open — seriously, that takes guts. I’ve gone through a similar patch where I lost momentum and confidence, especially when I was trying to get back into coding. What helped me slowly re-engage was contributing to small projects in areas I cared about — for me, it was healthcare. I ended up getting involved with a SPsoft team and it reminded me how code can genuinely help people. Happy to share more if you ever want to bounce ideas or just talk tech.
Healthcare is such a tricky field because it’s not just about treating illnesses—it’s also about making the whole process smoother for both patients and practitioners. I’ve noticed that when clinics or hospitals don’t keep up with modern solutions, everything feels slower, and it really affects the overall experience. That’s why I started exploring options for digital upgrades and came across NEKLO and their work in medical app development . From my own experience, their approach wasn’t just about building another app, but about making it practical for daily use like better record management, easier patient communication, and reducing the little frustrations that add up. It made me realize how much of a difference the right tech partner can make in healthcare, even if it’s something you don’t think about at first.
@danielioanHi Daniel, it’s great that you’re making a plan to move forward and seeking support for your web development journey. Having a sparring buddy can be really motivating and help with accountability. If you want, I can help you draft a message to invite others to join you or suggest ways to find peers interested in collaborating online. Keep taking small steps—you’re doing well by reaching out!
