@neonPark6570 Hey, sounds like that you have been avoiding social event for the past few years. There are 2parts we can look deeper into this situation.

1. Several reasons cause social anxiety. It may be anxiety thinking or inaccurate thinking.
  • Anxious Thinking: The thinking about " What if...". This thinking triggers the automatic thought that makes tragic non-exist scenarios about things you are worried about. Try to practice telling which part of the thinking is fact and which part is imaginary. It can help you to stop automatic thoughts that scare you.
  • Inaccurate Thinking: This is a big category. Including thoughts like labeling, bad memories, avoidance, etc. Try to challenge your negative thought like "They don't want to see me. " Find the facts that support this statement is not true. And find the new truth. Like "They say Hi when they see me." That is one of the facts that prove the negative thinking was inaccurate.
2. Avoidance from the social occasion will make you temporarily feel better. But it also raises the difficulty the next time when you face it. It is hard to cope with this social anxiety spiral. The truth is avoidance is the beginning of the spiral. Try to face social activity rephrase anxiety thinking or inaccurate thinking. creating an upward spiral.

Welcome to let me know how it works for you. :)
