@VaraMoon As difficult as it may be, not heeding to what others think or say about you would help immensely in reducing your social anxiety. We've all heard that haven't we?
Social situations are unavoidable, in fact they are very much needed. But when you have that anxiety cloud looming above your head, it does block out the opportunity to be more open and social; instead you resort to the fear of being judged or looked on negatively. What you feel is a very valid response to wanting to cope with the never ending worries/thoughts in your head that have to do with either talking to someone or just about any social situation really. We all have urges to make a good impression on others, but with anxiety, those urges are heightened so much so they start to feel burdensome. As someone with social anxiety herself, I get where your worries are coming from. I hope you find your confidence in social interactions and battle the anxiety. I am rooting for you!
@DaisyDaph
Thank you. I struggled a lot after I moved from a different city to make friends and interact with others. I wish I knew what I known now back in those days so I can have tons of friends. Lol. Haha. But it's never too late!
@VaraMoon That's right! it's never too late. Love your approach to it.
Take your time though. You have all the time in the world to make friends and be comfortable with interacting. Give yourself that space to catch up with things, so you wont get overwhelmed. Best wishes!
