No connection

I have an extremely hard time connecting with people my age. I have anxiety over it. My mom tells me I worry to much, but I always feel like bursting into tears. I literally have no friends. I feel like I talk to guys online to make myself feel better but then I feel even worse about myself. I've never been in a relationship so I honestly don't know how to act to guys that I like. And no friendships ever in my life really doesn't help me either. I am lonely all the time. I don't know what to do.

Hey @Godgirl67

( love your name by the way)

I understand how you feel. I was the same way ( still is a lot). I was at home all the time so I never got out to meet anyone. I met a lot of people online but it didn't give me the connection I hoped for.

You can do a lot to get over shyness. Improve self esteem, give yourself pep talks, read more about different topics so you are confident in what to say. Practice conversations, but the key to overcoming shyness is to push your self. Push yourself out of your comfort zone. If you are very shy, even to shy to talk to strangers it can help to talk to shop assistants and ask for help and stuff.♡

Do you have somewhere where you can meet someone? Maybe school or work? Church? Maybe you can go to a youth group and meet someone there.

Maybe it would be easier to talk to someone new since there won't be anything old they could judge you by. Nothing you did they could bring up now. I usually find it easier to talk to someone who's even more shy than I am. Maybe you can talk to someonr who is always alone at school/work/church.

Once you met someone you could text them and go out every now and then, take it one step at a time.

Push yourself out of your comfort zone as much as much as possible.

@TallApple138 I am just popping in to second what TallApple is saying. Push yourself out of your comfort zone. It's best to do it a little bit at a time though so you don't become overwhelmed. Do something social that scares you, like introducing yourself to someone new. Then reward yourself for that later with something you enjoy like maybe some time to relax. Keep pushing yourself a little bit every day. Eventually, the things that scared you the most will be less scary.
