Old Friend

I've been wanting to become friends again with an old friend from years ago but she is married now and has a kid and I'm nervous she won't have time or want to be friends with someone who has anxiety with no life because of it. And I'd have to kinda explain that I have anxiety I mean it's the reason I'm 21 with no friends, no job and can't drive. And having no friends is very depressing. Even just one friend would be nice. And we were best friends before but we just drifted apart. I just don't know what to do. I mean should I even try to be friends again and what would I even say anyways.

@CasJune I think it's good that you want to connect with your friend. It is hard when your thoughts are going against what you wanted to do. Though, she became your best friend, does that mean she accepted you for who you are? What topics do you talk about back then with her? What kind of memories can you reminisce with her? Perhaps these questions can you lead to a starting point in a conversation with her.

I hope all the best for your reconnection with your friend.

Hey there! It sounds like you're going though a rough time sad I know one thing that helps me reconnect is calling or texting them one time and asking if we can meet up for pizza or at a local café during the weekend, for example. It may be nerve wracking to ask, however it is totally worth it! After all, the worst that can happen is that they would say "no." If someone asked you, would you say yes? Who knows, they may be feeling lonely as well! Good luck!
