SAD and self love
Hello everyone. I’ve had SAD for years, that’s social anxiety disorder. And it really has been hard. And I still struggle with It regularly. But what I wanted to say is I really feel like learning to love yourself is the answer to overcoming this. When you love yourself you no longer are fearful of letting others see you. This helps you go out into the world more and engage in things you love. How do we self love? Well, we find things we like about ourselves. We recognize our strengths and own them. And MOST importantly, we know that even with all our flaws, we are worthy lovable humans! Seriously everyone is flawed. Everyone has embarrassing past moments. Everyone does things they shouldn’t. Etc. I think us people with SAD need to realize that we are awesome and people deserve to get to know us. That’s my tidbit for today. Anyone resonate?
Yeah I agree but like it’s impossible for me to love myself.
There’s no question it’s hard from the beginning. And I’m still working on it. But I really believe, it’s already there. You just have to find it. You deserve love and respect just as much as anyone else. You are here because you have something to offer this world. Don’t give up on that. Keep searching within yourself. I get the struggle, I do. I still feel Scared in situations others don’t seem to be bothered. But it helps me to know that not only do I have strength within me, but others are out there who understand what this is like.
At least know that you are not alone.
