Social Anxiety?

I have a hard time talking to people. I don't know what to say most of the time. I'm the person at social gatherings who sits in a corner until someone talks to me. It's hard to make eye contact. I prefer to eat in a private area than around other people. I missed out on many events because I was afraid of meeting new people. I've been called shy throughout my kid and teen years. I don't know If I have social anxiety or if it's just shyness.

Well it can be both you need to be a bit more specific if you can?

For example, do you feel physically sick? Like dizzy, stomach pain, sweaty plans, problems breathing, nervously play with your hands (or another object)?

Do you think of the worst outcome when aproaching people? or what they'll think of you?

If the answer is yes to these questions you probably have social anxiety.

Now if you simply struggle to come up with a topic or prefer your space it can be just mean that you're an introvert.

I hope I helped! :)

What if you check out the pleasant activities list on the web and find some cool thing that you like to do?
