hi I am new to this site. I am 19 yo male looking for a group/ online support who also experiences social anxiety with peer to peer relationships . I have a job and don’t feel anxiety in that format, it’s the one on one or peer group activities that I have panic attacks and anxiety. I know it’s stems from low confidence but not sure how to build my confidence to overcome anxiety attacks . Tried meds and counseling with no success ..

@gameguy05It makes sense that one on one or peer groups feel harder than work. Many people with social anxiety feel the exact same pattern. You are not alone.

Confidence is not something you have to magically create. It usually grows from small wins. Starting with low pressure conversations, online groups, or communities for young adults with anxiety can help. Your therapist might know peer support groups in your area or online.

Even if meds and counseling have not helped yet, it does not mean you will stay stuck. Sometimes it takes a different style of therapy or a different group of people to feel understood. You took a good step by reaching out. You can keep building from here.
