Social anxiety holding me back
I feel like I am being held back by my social awkwardness and anxiety. I think I’m very talented and intelligent. I have been unemployed since the pandemic. Before the pandemic I was working in the nightlife industry in a popular city. During my time of unemployment I have finished several certifications on Courssera that can possibly land me a professional good paying job. The thing that’s holding me back is my anxiety makes me feel like I am automatically not good enough and I’m almost afraid to take it serious with real companies. If anyone has any advice I would really appreciate it.

seems to me that you bascically have two lines that would stand out in a cover letter:
"Before the pandemic I was working in the nightlife industry in a popular city. During my time of unemployment I have finished several certifications on Courssera"
It tells me that you 1) are proactive, 2) willing to invest 3) willing to learn
I'd say you have lots to offer. Go for it!

Is impressive that you finished several certifications on Coursera during the pandemic. This shows that you are willing to try and proactive. These personalities are attractive to HRs. Try to list out what you've done during the pandemic that matches the job description, you will found out how great you are and how matches you are with the job. Wish you got your dream offer!
