Strange feeling of disconnectedness

Sometimes, when I walk along a hallway or on the sidewalk and I notice that people are looking at me, I get this feeling of not being able to control my body anymore. I start to feel nervous and anxious... and really dizzy, my legs are still doing their job but they feel like jelly and I can‘t really control them. Once I have passed the people this feeling gradually lessens and I turn back to normal. I never had this issue during my youth, it appeared first during college. Does anybody know how to deal with this? Thank you.

Hi @lightLime8121, I have been going through the same difficulties before. Everytime I have to pass by people in public spaces, I feel anxious. I thought that their gazes were glued on me, judging. Sometimes I feel like to be laughed at. I'll walk faster, enduring the shivers in my back and couldn't move my neck. I feel nauseous and my hands are trembling. After visiting psychologist in my college hospital, they diagnosed my condition. I went through several treatments and try many coping techniques. But it doesn't really disappears, I still have to struggle with it. I will use a coat or jacket with pocket so I can put my trembling hands in and hold a squishy, sometimes I use shades to limit my eyesight. I tend to walk fast and straight to my destination. I will limit my interactions and plug headset in my ear, listening to lofi music

@lightLime8121 actually that's not really helpful, it was accidentally sent. I can't delete it. Sorry for the abrupt response. It's just I'm not good with talking to people. Hope you'll find your coping method soon

I think it was helpful. Listening to music and wearing jackets with pockets could definitely help
