Trying to make a new friend group is hard

I've been dealing with a lot in my life, as well as grief and loss, and friends who I feel like are not there for me like I am for them. In the past year, I have went through a lot fo spirals and just want to run away some days. I have a therapist but it only helps so much. Someone the other day gave me advice on how to meet people with the same issues as me and maybe I can find my circle. I want to find more people who won't judge me in my past and present.

@MoonskiesIt sounds like you have been carrying a lot, and feeling alone on top of that makes everything heavier. I am glad you already have a therapist, but it is also true that therapy can feel limited when what you want is connection.
You deserve people who understand you and meet you where you are. Many people find support in groups for grief, anxiety, or young adult mental health. These groups can help you meet others who relate to your experiences and do not judge your past. Your therapist can point you toward ones that fit your age and comfort level.
You are not wrong for wanting a real circle around you. You are allowed to seek out people who give you the same care you give them. You are not alone, and you do not have to carry everything by yourself.
