Was anyone like me before.
I used to be a kid addicted to video games and i used to listen to weird video game music like gta or horror games. Sometimes i made myself miserable on purpose and had sad dramatic romantic fantasies. I used watch family guy a lot. I have maladaptive daydreaming i imagine myself in scenarios or being a character in the games or show family guy happened since i was kid. Now im much differenet developed better social skills but not nearly good enough for full conversation. I cant even be funny sometimes i laugh at stupid things. I was doing the same thing freshman year of high school then sophmore year little but. I wish i grew up with playing games and more of a music guy and instead of wasting my day daydreaming stupid fantasies and some abnormal i wished i was more social and more expandable. I did get interested in sports which benifited me a lot since 8th or 7th grade.

I also make myself miserable on purpose. And then I'll blame the people around me. It's really easy for me to fall into and it's really hard to face the truth. I don't really have anything uplifting to say because I struggle with the same thing. But you're not alone, and the fact that we're both on here trying to deal with it in a productive way is better than denying it.
@karosorakaros how did you cope with it and manage your patterns of behavior
@SisterHaleemaCounselor I guess I first have to acknowledge that I'm doing that (which is the hardest part honestly) and then once I realize I'm being that way, I'll imagine someone else doing that and it's easier for me to admit that I wouldn't want to be around someone who is trying to make their life more miserable. So I just kind of snap out off it after about 20 minutes after fully realizing what is going on. I used to stay in that mood for days at a time though so it really does get easier as you practice it. Another really good thing to do is to notice when other people are bringing you down and remember how it makes you feel. That way when you are bringing other people down, you can know how much discomfort you are actually causing them. Because without a refrence point, it's easy to think that you are effecting people way more than you are and it doesn't leave it up to imagination. It still doesn't feel good to acknowledge that you are bringing people down. But at least you have a realistic idea as to how much you are affecting them and it gives you some solid ground to stand on.
@karosorakaros how can we focus more on positive thoughts
@SisterHaleemaCounselor
? Did you just pull that out of a hat?
@karosorakaros hi there. Do you have a way where you can measure your self accomplishment feelings
