@simrawaheedd How old are you? I used to be like that when I was in my teens/early 20's until I figured out what the real problem was. I was always worried about fitting in, being cool, and pleasing everyone else. I did it to the extent of failing my senior year in high school, ending up going to summer school, then only having the option of going to a technical college. Then I blew it in college after 4 years because I was so concerned about friends and partying. The real problem surfaces always from a person's childhood. I didn't grow up with a very nurturing mother and my father was absent. I developed co dependency at a very young age. You sound very young? Satisfying others isn't going to get you very far. Be yourself and don't concentrate on pleasing everyone else. I have the most manipulating and critical mother who still sees justice in her actions, so there's really no point in me saying anything else. I just hope someday she will see the damage she did to me. Being original and unique is the best! Trying to be like everyone else is actually quite boring. :) To fit in is actually better if you are different. Aren't we all getting tired of Beyonce and the Kardashians? They are pretty, but .. what is so unique about them? I saw that new singer Lizzo at our Summerfest here in Wisconsin. She is different and I think she will go very far. You get what I am trying to say?
@simrawaheedd
I really identify with that feeling of always wanting to be more this or that. I get caught up in thinking maybe people would like me more if I looked a certain way, if I was smarter, more exciting, nicer, etc. the list goes on and on. Recently I've been thinking more about trying to love myself unconditionally. Like I can always strive for better, but I don't NEED to reach some sort of set standard to be happy and have intrisic value. (Definitely easier said than done) I haven't cracked the code quite yet but I think just being less self-critical and focusing more on what is going right helps.
I don't think I'm particularly good at giving advice but I just wanted reach out to say you're not alone and try to go easy on yourself
