Its been since a year, I have started to read novels, in our house environment is so bad, everyone keeps on screening full time, being a family it takes to spend time together, speak together, but its just a dream , being offended to these phones I kept my self busy In reading novels, stories and other stuff , all I do is reading, all my discussions , all my thoughts, kind of escaped reality, but now circumstances became more dreadful, our family is on verge of chaos, there is nothing to discuss, nothing to talk and never talked, whenever a bit discussion occours they say you live in fiction too much , nobody likes me or like to have a word with me and no one has knowledge of those what I have, I would like to ask u people wasn't it enforcement to dive in fiction, now blaming me like I had choice

@robbedangel

You used the reading to escape the environment around you.

You needed it.

Don't apologise for it.

Don't feel guilty.

Its important to communicate our needs but also for other people to respect that we all deal with things differently.

@robbedangelIt sounds like you’ve been using novels and stories as a way to cope with a difficult and disconnected family environment, which is completely understandable. Escaping into fiction can be a healthy way to find comfort and relief when reality feels painful or lonely. It’s unfair that your family blames you for seeking that escape when it’s really a response to the lack of connection and communication at home. Your feelings matter, and wanting meaningful interaction is natural. It might help to gently express to your family how important connection is to you and how reading has been a way for you to cope, not to avoid them. You deserve to be heard and supported.
