Are The Thoughts I have not valid?

Recently I’ve been thinking that my own thoughts are not valid that I’m just confused because I can’t understand my emotions or feel confident about the emotions I do understand.

I’ve also feel like my family and other people think I’m just confused and know no better because of autism, it’s humiliating to not understand your own thoughts and emotions, as if the thoughts i have aren’t actually real.

@Angel628

I'm sorry you feel like you are struggling and find it hard to trust or understand your emotions.

Doesn't make them less valid.

It might help to talk them through with someone who understands 💛

Hi @Angel628

I really feel you. I can get so lost in my emotions sometimes it becomes really disorientating and confusing. I'm sorry to hear that your family aren't being very supportive of you right now. I can see how that would add to an already tricky situation.

Like Amanda suggested talking through what your feeling to a third party might help you start to make sense of what your feeling. I don't know about you but when I can make sense of my feelings I often feel stronger in them and more able to communicate them to someone else and/or ask for support.

Feel free to message me or browse others listeners here if finding someone to talk to in person is hard. Hopefully the wonderful community here will also share their experiences too.

@StarryJoy2222 it’s not that my family isn’t supportive it’s just for some of my family I don’t think they know how their words affect me. Ps I also feel like I have a lot of things to say but have trouble putting them to words also like my mouth is sew shut. 😞
