Multiple diagnoses
As an older person I was never formally evaluated. But my daughter was recently diagnosed AUDHD, and also seems to present with anxiety and it is prompting me to question If I might have something similar which I mask so much that it has caused me a neurological movement disorder.
If you have multiple diagnosis is there an evaluation process that evaluates more than just the autism? She went through separate tests as ADHD presented first and she wasn't tested for autism until later.
This off topic, but maybe someone who is international can tell me. Is the this a US only system? I read somewhere that the conditions are treated differently in other countries. I'm questioning if maybe we should move.

I honestly don't have the answers to that bit I can imagine how difficult it is, just wanting to have the answers and more clarity and I hope that someone has the information that you need 💚🤗

Thank you for the beautiful flowers Amanda84 and for always offering kind words of encouragement. I think I'm going to try to research more into asd. I don't know a lot about it yet, but I have met a few people who are on the spectrum on here and offline and the people I have met seem to be really amazing smart people.

A pleasure 💚 I hope you find the answers you need 🤗

I’m genuinely very sorry for what your daughter and you are going through right now and without any answers which I am very hopeful that you’ll get eventually.
I’m sorry to say this but I honestly don’t know the answer to that question and don’t wanna risk giving you wrong information by giving you guesses.
I haven’t tried any systems outside the US enough to really say which country’s system is the best and most beneficial or helpful for you and your daughter. While I’m not stopping you from moving, I also think you can visit different countries and try their system out first before moving there and feel it’s best for you to move to that specific country whichever country it is only if you believe living there will benefit both your daughter and you and if she wants/is open to moving to the country of your choice. But I also think it’s an important conversation that would be best for you and your daughter to have together like maybe during a meal or something.
I know what it’s like to live and not be diagnosed or tested and diagnosed with having something yet having to live with it for so long without knowing you have these certain conditions. I’ve been there. I’m still there now in fact. When I asked medical/heathcare professional that I had an appointment with why I was never tested, diagnosed and treated for anything I have or may have, the answer I got was “When people who are from or part of the system see someone like him (points to me) they see someone who is what they see and call normal and highly functional so they overlook him and move on to others who they feel need help more. And yes I agree it’s completely unfair and wrong, very unprofessional, but that’s unfortunately how it’s always worked and it hasn’t changed all this time” I thought that answer made a lot of sense so I agreed with it. While the specific conditions may be different, it still appears we’re in the same situation.
I also must give you a lot of credit and say I’m proud of you bc I truly believe it’s smart and important for you to question whether you have the same things or something similar to what your daughter was diagnosed with having. Great job with that and best of luck to both of you. Sending you and your daughter love, support, strength and hugs ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
I apologize I couldn’t be/wasn’t anymore help to you with this difficult situation.
Thank you for your thoughtful response. It has been tricky for us with her. I think she is fine, but here in America you are judged more by what is on the outside than what is on the inside, and we have moved a few times. It's hard to explain without knowing the whole person though. Thank you again.
