Possible undiagnosed autism

Hi, it's been a very long time since I've been on this website but some days, I think about my life and all my strange behaviors and wonder "Hey, how the heck have I not been diagnosed with autism?"

Then one day when I asked my dad if it's possible I have autism, he told me that it might be borderline autism, along with a little story:

Back when I was around 5 or 6, my elementary school suspected me of possibly having autism so they wanted to diagnose me. However, I was only so young and I couldn't really consent to being given a kind of label at that time, at least that's what dad said. He also said that he didn't believe the school had the best intentions because special needs programs require funding, which means, well, more money for the school so he thought that the school would sorta profit off of me. He told me that regardless of whether or not I had autism, the school would likely diagnose me as such because they want money and I...I guess I acted diagnosable lol??

(ok, but hear me out, what if i actually DID have autism? ...oh well. now im wondering how i dont have it.)

My dad told them that oh, I'm so smart and I could live my school life without my diagnoses. Still, since my social skills were...meh even at my age back then, he requested the school to give me speech therapy but not all the other things a special needs person would need.

And while I did manage to get through school without the other special needs stuff, due to the odd behaviors i remember having back in my childhood, along with my odd ones right now, I still wonder why I act the way I act and what else would explain my actions if I don't have autism.
