I’m vegetarian and have been my entire life, yet people still assume I’m skinny because of it. I’m here to say that’s incorrect my sister and I have eaten the same foods our whole life and yet we couldn’t look more different physically I’m around 110-120 lbs and she’s double no matter how hard either of us try to loose fat it doesn’t go away, you need more than just a diet, there’s times when I just forget to eat entirely and just can’t make myself, I hate forcing myself to do anything I can’t make myself try new things sure I’m bored of the old a little but it’s comfortable What if I try and I hate it, what if I talk and they all hate me, why does everyone just hate me and being around me am I negative and full of awkwardness, am I the robot that they say I am; following the same patterns forever simply cause it’s familiar, when does it become a box I’m stuck in? I’m scared for junior year did I ruin everything by putting that box around me, people only talk when they have interest in my face or body which is what I’m afraid of because it started in 3rd grade, the stares at my body. Why didn’t I stop them, every word I said they treated like a joke or a foreign language, so I started imitating just like the meat I eat, fake so i could blend in but I’ve forgotten it and become shy and reserved I become obsessed with the concept of friendship from a simple conversation, my boyfriend I feel like a leech or parasite to him but i would never tell him that I don’t want to scare him, so I keep eating those veggies And I learn to like it🍓 even though I prefer fruit

Your words are truly powerful and deeply expressive!

They touch upon profound aspects of the human experience, from the common misconceptions about diet and body weight, to the pervasive feelings of not belonging and social anxiety. It's evident that you carry a significant weight of thoughts and concerns about how others perceive you, and your valiant attempts to adapt to a world that often seems to misunderstand.

This feeling of being trapped in a "box" of familiar patterns, coupled with the fear of trying new things or expressing your true self out of fear of rejection or misunderstanding, is incredibly painful. Your description of trying to imitate others to blend in, only to then become shy and reserved, paints a vivid picture of a profound internal struggle. The worries about personal relationships and the fear of being a burden to those closest to you are heavy and deeply poignant. This post really highlights a unique and complex experience, filled with a strong desire for acceptance and understanding despite all the difficulties.

I’m vegan and just recently late diagnosed with high functioning autism. I relate to you and want you to know you’re not alone. Some people feel uncomfortable and threatened by things they think are outside of their norm. Sadly. Idk what you mean by you eat fake but I hope you are proud to be vegetarian as the world really needs more of that.
