Being misunderstood.
It’s so frustrating when i fail to explain my POV at the exact moment that is needed but instead freezing up in confusion trying to process everything at once in a social situation (their words said, meaning implied, facial expressions, and body languages; my words said, meaning they think is implied.. etc) and then being misunderstood and possibly hated for it, only to realize what actually happened much later and it’s already too late to salvage the miscommunication.
I want friends and I want to belong like everyone else but it’s so exhausting each and every time I have to go through the same process of social failures and feeling less human afterwards. I feel so alone but at the same time, being alone is the only time i feel safe from the world.. it’s such a contradiction; am i just fated to be a loner and a hermit?
I don’t like labels. I don’t like to label people either, but just because I do, doesn’t mean I’m prejudiced or using it as a hate speech; on the contrary, i use it without any negative feelings attached and it’s just description-based to me because i need structure in a world I find hard to understand and it’s the only why i can communicate complex ideas without ending up giving a TED talk about it. I wish I have friends who I don’t have to explain myself to each and every time for everything I say that might sound weird, off, or negative-intentioned to them because they don’t understand how i think.

You are who you are!
And that's wonderful.
People want to use label's because it makes them feel better.
But you don't have to fit in any box at all 💜💕

@curiouscalicoIt sounds incredibly hard to navigate social situations when your mind is processing so much all at once, and then feeling misunderstood afterward. Wanting friends who accept you without constant explanations is a deeply human need, and it’s understandable to feel exhausted by the effort. It’s okay to need time alone to feel safe, too—that balance is tricky but important. You’re not fated to be alone; many people find connections where they feel truly understood, even if it takes time. If you want, I can help you explore ways to find or build those kinds of friendships where you can feel accepted as you are.
