After a Manic Episode
Hey, so when I have a manic episode, I lash out - by that I mean my Brain is not so in touch with reality and it makes up all kinds of things and I begin to say things that aren't necessarily true about people especially my classmates, before I come down from the high, the havoc has already been caused and then there's social rejection, I don't know how to cope with the loneliness and the rejection.
I know I said bad things but i wasn't in my right frame of mind.
@Nurah97 I'm really sorry to hear that you're going through such a challenging time. It takes a lot of courage to recognize and acknowledge the impact of manic episodes on your interactions. It's important to remember that mental health struggles can be incredibly tough, and your self-awareness is a positive step towards understanding your experiences.
It's understandable that, during manic episodes, your thoughts and actions might not align with your true feelings. Coping with loneliness and social rejection can be incredibly difficult, and it's crucial to prioritize your well-being. Seeking support, whether from friends, family, or mental health professionals, can be a valuable step towards understanding and managing these episodes.
If there's anything you'd like to talk about, I'm here for you. Take care 💜

I have the same problem and I keep losing friends and it makes me want to isolate myself even further because sometimes I am sick of trying to keep friends but I try anyway and there are some good things about that like the people that seem to care are those that want to help and that is tiring as well but at least they are sticking around and that is really what I need I guess like maybe I won't have a lot of equal friends but I'll have a lot of people who want to support it's hard but I'm starting to accept that this might be a way that I get in the social support I need.
The huge challenge when having gone through a Manic episode when having Bipolar is getting back on track. and you will! it takes a little time, people are not thinking about it as much as you are, they have other things on their minds. Close friends and your family are the ones who worry and love you.
so, it's incredibly important to be that friend you always wanted for yourself! be kind to YOU! and that means, eating healthy, and getting the proper amount of sleep. needed. YOU are your best advocate. it takes work, but it is so worth it. YOU are worth it! 😍
