Bipolar, depression, current episode, severe with psychotic features
I can't remember the last time I felt genuine happiness.
I've been going through this my whole life and was recently diagnosed with Bipolar.
There's a lot of information online, however I can't seem to find a therapist that works well with me. The one I went to as a teen is dead. The family member that understood me has also passed.
My wife is now divorcing me due to poor behavior prior to seeking help. Depression has sunk in deep once more. I'm hoping the medication regimen and therapy pays off, but nothing in the way of meds has helped significantly.
Daily:
400mg Seroquel
1200mg Trileptal
They feel like kiddie bumpers you'd use if you were poor at bowling or just learning. The medication seems to work, but once I get worked up it's a completely different ball game. Almost like once I've got enough emotional energy pent up, it revs me up even on a good day.
Any advice?
Hello there, I feel the same, not last year but this year has been so rough on me, I quit therapy a while back because I don't feel that it works on me, is just a waste of money, I can't find anyone that analyze me and help me to be better and find out my triggers, I think I have been better on myself, I have tried support groups but with Covid all sucks... Is that what happens to you? You want more feedback from therapy? Or what are your expectations? I'm trying to reach out to more people to see if my behaviors are normal or the bipolar talking.
