Bipolar numbness in feeling
Hi everyone..
I'm bibloar type one , I have been on antidepressant, anti psychotic and mood stabilizer for six months now .. I was wondering if anyone is suffering from a feeling of being numb emotionaly and not being able to feel empathy twords human situation such as grief for a friend who lost her mother ..I had this problom that I wasn't even able to cry and I felt empty inside when I was very emotional person before I started taking my bipolar medication, now another friend has lost a baby daughter and I'm having the same emptiness feeling not being able to emphasize with her 💔
How do you deal with such feelings of not being able to feel? Any help?
Thank you for your post. I'm sorry to hear you're going through this difficulty. I have also taken medication for bipolar, and it also makes me feel differently than before. I can definitely relate to you! You are not alone. Some things which have helped me with the numbness are journalling, arts and crafts, and music.

Talk to your doctor I know the feeling of numbness and it actually caused me to go off of my meds for a while (bad idea) but I’ve recently been on a new kind (mood stabilizer vs antipsychotic) and it’s been a totally different experience. Overall Though, if you take anything at all you’ll hAve a different life and experience than a “normal “ person. I wish you luck and hopefully you find a medicine for you ❤️
