Confessions: Single Sentence Secrets to Soothe Isolation
What does Bipolar Disorder do behind closed doors?
Please share some brief experiences in your daily life that are affected by your mental health.
I haven't cleaned my apartment in two weeks.
Even though by late afternoon I am usually doing pretty fair, the first several hours are next to impossible to do anything. Since I look "normal" by late afternoon. no one sees how hard it is to even pry myself out of bed and stay out of it for all the hours sometimes before noon.

Isn't that what coffee and an extra hour on the alarm clock is for? My first alarm goes off a full hour before I need to get out of bed, and my 5th alarm a full hour before I need to leave the house. Have another alarm goes off when I should be leaving the house... good thing I can set a whack of em on my cellphone right? ;)
Doesn't matter if people are watching or not... On really bad days I might be crying in my truck when things just don't work out, or screaming my head off and letting off steam before I walk (a little calmer) into a business...
This latest medication is helping somewhat with sleep (still seeing things destabilized by sleeping in on weekends), but previously my insomnia had gone more or less unnoticed... nothing like trying to keep it together and be a functional human being after you haven't slept in 3 or 4 days.
The few hours before bed, I just sit on the couch sad until it's time to sleep.
@Reeseyreese that's what I do every night too... wishing it were time to sleep.. some days I think it's bedtime and it will only be 3 in the afternoon and I just can't wait to go back to sleep and stop feeling terrible.
