Hyper???
I have bipolar and adhd. I currently take lithium and sertraline. They have been helping me a lot but now I am very hyper active. I can not tell if it is the bipolar or adhd, or if I am just exhibiting my natural personality (don't even know what that is anymore). I haven't been able to take adhd meds as they make me extremely aggressive. Any ideas as the Dr doesn't seem to have a clue what to do.

Dealing with Bipolar Disorder and ADHD can be really tough. Dealing with them together can be even harder especially when the symptoms overlap and become confusing. I'm glad to hear that the meds that you have been taking have been very helpful to you! Unfortunately sometimes there are some side effects that come with this which can add to the confusion of the symptoms. You mentionned that your doctor isn't sure what to do about it..do you think it might be possible to get a second opinion from another doctor or specialist who might be able to help?
