Some calming tea
Meditation
Journaling
I also try to put all that energy into good use by cleaning the house while listening to D&B. In that way I get some things done and I clear up the clutter so there's less sensory overload for me. :)
What sort of music do you like to dance to in general?
@misslonewolf13
oh. i just re.read what u wrote, u did mention 'dance' music,.. but what sort? most music can be danceable I guess if the person is in the mood for it. :D
@misslonewolf13

Writing in my journal, drawing , seem to help me the most. I have a mobile game i play , game of thrones ,that is pretty engrossing, it can really help pass the darkest hours for me. When everyone else is sleeping , because they dont have issues
I'm in a mixed episode and the manic impulses have nearly caused a bit of trouble. I won't go into details but I had to quickly cancel my debit card. And I had to get local police in order to make a complaint. Whose origin was my manic impulses. I had a 14 hour catatonic type trance sitting at my desk. Talk about sore to stand up and sit down. My psychiatrist is only virtual and it's kind of hard to communicate when the TD like symptoms are acting up. But I don't want to leave him at the same time because he's pretty prominent and took me on as an exception. I keep going periods of 3 days of no sleep, food, or fluids. I've lost 17lbs with that on and off system. The Spravato worsened things last Thursday but it's not that bad now. I leave my room more and no longer think the people in my house aren't real. Things just switch back and forth.
@Mindgazer91
What do you mean TD? My mania starts with lack of sleep, and eventually i hears voices, tal to ppl who arent there
@somewherebetween1979 I periodically develop all the symptoms of traditive dyskinesia. An involuntary movement of muscles in the face, arms, hands, your tongue sticks in and out. It is a warning with all antipsychotics. But is actually rare.
I dont know if ots the same , but i too had involuntary movement of limbs, tounge and face..i tried several meds before i found one that works. I am also on antipsychotics
Oxcarbazepin 600 mg is the one for me. Benztropin mes 1mg was the one that helped some , the first much more

Journal, crochet, coloring, playing with my kids, Christian music or podcasts
@mysticwolf16
When I am truly manic nothing helps. I have stayed manic through weeks of strong antipsychotics multiple times before.
