Trouble communicating

So, I'm 40 and have been diagnosed as BPII plus anxiety, depression and possible executive function disorder for about10- 13 years. My biggest problem currently is communication. I have a hard time putting my thoughts into words. I always hear "if you can think it/picture it, you can say it." Unfortunately, it's not that easy for me. My thoughts fly by so fast sometimes and get jumbled up and then I second guess them. I'm constantly being told that I'm like deer caught in the headlights or a cow at a new gate. Is this a BP issue? Anxiety? Depression? Executive dysfunction? How do I fix this?

Hi!

General advice can be helpful for some but it won't work for everyone - we are all unique, and communication challenges can be caused from many different things. It can be anxiety or executive function issues. It can come from lack of role models in our early years, or how they responded to our communication attempts, traumatic events etc. Sometimes our flight/fight/freeze responses turns on when faced with something stressful (like communication) and we have to learn how to process that instinctive emotion enough so that we can calm that hurricane of thoughts and feelings.
