About bipolar and overwhelming feelings
I think I was diagnosed with bipolar disorder about 3 or 4 years ago. I struggled with treatment for depression and anxiety for almost 12 years until I found a doctor who really cared about my situation and my feelings.
In October last year, I was also diagnosed with ADHD and started treatment. Since then, everything has been “fine,” but I relied on a lot of things to cope with stress—alcohol, drugs, cigarettes, food, coffee, games...
This year, I’m trying to do better. I decided to cut those things out, started a healthier diet (eating more and better), began going to the gym, and started reading again. But it’s been harder than I expected. These small changes haven’t been enough to deal with the stress in my mind. I don’t know if anyone can relate, but it feels like I never have a moment to relax—I’m always tense.
Anyway, the point is, these past two weeks have been excruciating for me. I haven’t been eating enough, haven’t been sleeping enough, and I’ve been crying a lot. I don’t know how to deal with this overwhelming feeling of always being alone...
Sorry, I just needed to get this out.
@sizofrenija
You don't need to be alone here.
Thank you for opening up.
This is a safe and non judgemental space.
It helps to get everything out there, to be able to process intense feelings 🩷
That's a strength!
