Really scared

I've been diagnosed with Anxiety/Depression (as PTSD) from the Army. I've been out since 2016 and usually would only have a panic attack maybe once or twice a year at most.

Recently, when trying to lose weight I tried taking the GLP-1 weight loss drugs, first tirzepatide lozenges then semaglutide shots. They say some possible side effects include anxiety but this thing is really messing with my mind.

I'm having deja vu feelings and persecutory delusions and I feel as if I've done things before. (Even as I type out this message I feel like I've done it before). I just want to go back to normal. I'm really scared.

I have a doctor's appointment tomorrow and I hope they can tell me this isn't permanent.

I am sorry that you are going through this. I do feel Gp could help or to call someone to speak with.

I'm no proffessional, my partner went through similar to yourself. I feel bring someone you can trust with you to your appointment I you have, they can help support you so you don't feel scared.

Some conditions come and go, if you receive the support intime I fell It may not be permentant. GP knows best I think. I hope you find the best option for yourself your doing the best thing for yourself even if you continuously make gp appointments it good to have support rn.

Idk if it helps, maybe in the moments repeat mantras like, I am safe, it's ok or what may help you feel better and deep breathing, breathing slowing continuously helps if you feel scared. I do that when I feel scared. I tell myself I'ts ok I am safe, I'm ok, I am safe and keep breathing until it passes. I hope things go well for you at your doctors

That sounds really tough, and I’m sorry you’re going through this. I’ve taken semaglutide before, and while it helped with weight loss, I also noticed some weird mental effects, like increased anxiety. It eventually settled, but it was unsettling at first. If it helps, I got mine from Canada Pharmacy, and reading other people’s experiences reassured me a bit.
